I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been providing therapy services for adults for over 18 years.
I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2006 with master's degrees in social work and public health. I worked in women's health contributing to creating community health programs and at Tulane Community Health Center offering individual therapy. After graduation, I stayed in New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina to help support the community and provide care for those experiencing trauma.
I have traveled and worked in different areas in the country. In Juneau, Alaska, I provided individual and group therapy for adults with chronic mental health conditions. In private practice in Durham, North Carolina, I provided therapy to college students.
For several years I worked with older adult populations providing supportive services and in-home therapy in California.
I worked at Stanford Outpatient Psychiatry for 5+ years in the Women's Wellness clinic. I provided supportive therapy for women experiencing postpartum anxiety, infertility, as well as issues related to perimenopause. I also worked in the Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychiatry clinics supporting older adults and family members caring for a loved one with a memory disorder and those with chronic medical conditions.
I enjoy helping health care professionals looking for stress management skills who want to find ways to prioritize self-care. Having worked in a busy hospital clinic setting for many years, I understand the demanding nature of the work, especially after the pandemic, and devote some of my practice to helping this population.
At the end of 2022, I completed a two-year mindfulness training program with the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. I currently offer mindfulness skills sessions for individuals and groups.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking by the beach or in the mountains (any excuse to get outdoors). I also enjoy practicing yoga and QiGong and bring some of these practices into my work with clients.
